How to brief a designer when you have never hired one
You do not need design vocabulary to write a good brief. You need to answer six questions honestly. Here they are, with what a designer is actually listening for in each one.

Why your brand colour looks wrong in print
Your screen mixes light, a printer mixes ink, and the two cannot produce the same range of colour. Here is what actually happens to a brand colour on press, and how to specify one so it survives.

A logo is not a brand identity
The logo is the smallest part of an identity and the part everyone argues about. Here is what the other ninety percent actually consists of.

“We hired Abdul to effectively rebuild a website using for Elementor Pro. It was a very large project that ran over several months. Abdul was effective and offered good value. Communication was consistent and reliable. Use Abdul Basit with confidence.”

“Awesome work. He took a hand drawing and turned it into a graphic, exactly like I wanted. I had asked a local print shop to have their graphic artist to make the graphic and was disappointed that they were not able to do what I wanted done. At first I just wanted a second opinion from this artist because he has done work for me in the past. Besides, maybe I was asking for the impossible. Ab-creativegfx said he could do it and he did.”

“Designer was able to do (better & faster) then what another top rated PPT "specialists" wasn't able to get done. He worked tirelessly to meet an nearly impossible deadline.”

“He is fantastic and beyond exponentially talented. He is great to work with and very flexible. He listens and delivers on what you hired him for instead trying to change your ideas. The work he has done for us as a team is priceless. The quality of the work is priceless. The attention to detail by itself is amazing. He took every recommendation and ideas we gave him seriously and Wow the entire team. We were pleased, delighted, hyper happy and beyond explanation. We will absolutely come back for more. That’s inevitable. Thank You Basit.”

Questions
The objections, in the order people actually have them.
What does this cost?
It depends on how much of the sequence you need. A logotype with a short set of rules is a different job to an identity with packaging, a website and documentation. You get a written proposal with the scope, the price and the schedule in it before anything starts, so you are never making the decision halfway through.
How long does it take?
A focused identity runs three to five weeks. Identity plus website, six to ten. The schedule is written into the proposal stage by stage, so you always know what is happening and what is due from you.
Why one person instead of an agency?
You brief me and you hear back from me, and the person designing it is the person you spoke to. There is no account manager in between, and nothing is handed to someone junior. In return I take fewer projects at once, so the schedule is agreed before anything starts and it does not move.
Do you work with clients outside Pakistan?
Most of the work is international. I am on GMT+5, which shares most of the working day with the Gulf and puts my afternoon in the UK and European morning. Scope, schedule and decisions are all written down, which is what actually makes distance a non-issue.
Can you work with the brand I already have?
Yes. A lot of projects start as "the brand is fine, the website is letting it down", or the reverse. I will tell you which of the two is the real problem before you pay me to fix the wrong one.
Will I be able to update the site myself?
Yes. The content lives in plain text, separate from the design, so changing the words cannot break the layout. You get a walkthrough at handover.
